I have watched many videos, but i want to try to do this my self with out following a video step by step.

Oh i want it to be a pale rotten sort of flesh, like pale white. - edit

I was thinking some sort of medium brown, then wash that in part brown part nuln oil, then start highlighting up to a dirty white color? - Do you guys think this would work?

Any way other suggestions will help me make a better decisions, thanks every one appreciate it.

You could try doing a white zenithal pre highlight of white, then using glazes of grey, pale green and light yellow to build up the flesh tones. There's a good article about a golden demon GUO. I'll see if I can find it.

He uses glazes for the initial tones, then a technique called pointillism to build up texture.

There is a nice color by The Army Painter called "Necrotic Flesh" that you could use as a highlight.
