try. So use Pedro Kantor and run a battalion with the indomitus crusader detachment. Make 2 units of 10 intercessors veterans and march them up with Kantor and some hellblasters. You get your normal firepower and the bolter strat but not only that you get +1 attack and plus 1 attack for Kantor so veteran intercessors will be getting 4 attacks each and 5 for the sarge re rolling all hits!

Also having the banner of the emperor ascendant in another detachment and marching him up with them means everyone who falls gets a chance to fire again when they die, I think it could be tasty.

If you march upfield, the Hellblasters in Liberator Strike Force would be better. If you use the Intercessors, it would be better for them to stand still at 30" and get the most out of bolter beta rule for the most of the time.

It's true but the twist comes when you get real close and charge with 4 attacks per guy which would be very cool.

Yeah - that is really sweet actually. I do it with ultras and Gman and it's pretty hilarious watching marines actually kill things.

If we fail to anticipate the unforeseen or expect the unexpected in a universe of infinite possibilities, we may find ourselves at the mercy of anyone or anything that cannot be programmed, categorized or easily referenced.

It can work nicely. One advantage is the crimson fists (if used as 'proper' crimson fists from the index) is that they get +1 to hit, not just rerolls.

That dovetails scarily well with multiple rules.

Indomitus Crusaders (1CP) + Veteran Intercessors (1CP) + Rapid Fire (1CP)+Bolter Drill (1CP) +Standard Of The Ultima Founding (INDOMITUS CRUSADER Relic) + No Matter The Odds (CRIMSON FISTS Chapter Tactic) + Bolter Discipline (Beta ADEPTUS ASTARTES Rule)

In theory, a squad of 10 marines puts out 10 bolt rifle shots at 30".

10 Veteran Intercessors snuggled up to an Ancient, with that list of upgrades, firing at a horde of 20+ boyz/gaunts/conscripts/whatever......puts an average of 54 hits (not shots, hits) downrange.

Termagants expended for the Hive Mind: ~2835

Yeah that's cool! I normally run my crimson fist army as Deathwatch but in thinking of using their actual rules now haha
