Hello there

I started this small project back im November to join a local "Kill Team painting competition" in December. Well, that didn“t work out, i just finished. 4 months late.

Cough.

Well, the plan for this Killteam was to do something personal. I wanted to do a Primaris Deathwatch Killteam, because the Mark X is gorgeous. The models lack the Deathwatch-bitz like the cameras on the backpack and the breastplate pouches and grenades. So i converted them. I filed of some of the Aquila down to put some bags on the chest. The camera is the Stalker Bolt Rifle scope bit, with the scope front and back cut off.
Next step was using the small shields as chapter markings, simply because it looks slightly different. The rest is mainly some Grey Knights and Black Templars bitz here and there.

Except the Librarian, who is a complete kitbash. He consists of the Dark Angels Primaris Leiutenant and the Primaris Librarian, spiced up with Grey Knight Bitz.

Looking forward to some C&C, especially regarding the Librarians sword. It looks way smoother in reality, but its far from perfect. Tips on how to improve that effect? (And please note how i tried to mirror the ground on the downside of the blade by mixing in red).

The models look really, really good but I'm not a fan of the bases. I find with those cracked earth paints you need to paint a layer of a slightly darker shade underneath so that black isn't showing through.

Yes, i am annoyed by that. I never worked with that kind of paint and did not know it would crack that extreme. I thought about shaving that stuff off and doing it again.
