Hi Dakkanauts.

I found today my old Terminators, unassembled, so I was asking my self in which army add them. Could I paint them as Deathwatch and paint their chapter shoulder pads as Ultramarines and use them in both army's?

How you paint your models is up to you, and not covered by the 40k rules.

If you have Terminator models, you can use them for any terminator Battlesheet (Datasheet)that you want. (For the most part).

Paint has no bearing on rules. You're free to use your Terminators as whatever Terminator Datasheet the models match that you want.

Technically, DW Terminators and normal Terminators have different Kits, but nobody in the world will actually care.

The lore states that units will occasionally switch up their colour schemes to confuse the enemy. You can say they are doing that.

Then if I will have no issues on small torunaments i will go ahead. Veterans that are in the Deatwatch come back to help the Chapter against the Xenos.

The vast majority of the time it won't be an issue, but some events organised by GW have rules that if you are painted as a specific faction then you must be that faction.

Basically, always check the tournament rules before entering just to be sure!
