I have a question as am collecting Black Legion. Could I use Plague Marines and the Death Guard terminators in my BL force.

If so what are the Plague Marines classed as Troops or elites ?

If not I’ll add them in as a ally detachment is there a downside if I do? Because my force won’t be battle forged?

I’ve never allied before so please excuse the question.

So you can use the Plague Marines as BLACK LEGION, but if you do they'll occupy an Elites choice.

As for the terminators, depends what you have. If you've got Deathshroud terminators, then they must be run as Death Guard - but if you have Blightlord terminators you could run them essentially as normal chaos terminators. I'd advise you not to do this - instead run them as Blightlord Terminators because they have a better invuln and Disgustingly Resilient.

In general, I'd recommend running them as a separate detachment using Death Guard rules - this can give you more CP and access to DG stratagems, but seeing as these strats are nothing to write home about, it all comes down to what you want to run the terminators as.
