Hello Dakka,
My friends and I would like to play a 25-32mm miniature wargame set during the late-fourteenth century, with the specific request that it be at least playable with round bases. The size of battles themselves isn't particularly important, whether it be a tiny skirmish game or a mass battle game. Should we just bite the bullet and play Saga for the round bases/KoW Historical for the setting, or do you guys know of any systems worth checking out? Is it possible to just play DBA with bunches of round-based soldiers? Please help!

DBA on round bases might be possible if you just put the round based guys on appropriately sized rectangle bases.
Have you looked at Lion Rampant? It's a warband size skirmish game set in the period you're looking for, and it'd be easy to make a warband out of a couple Perry plastic boxes.

Lion Rampart, by Osprey games. More of a skirmish level generic medieval game, but bases don't really matter so it falls within your requirements. Rulebook available as a fairly cheap PDF too.

All the games you are talking about can be played with round or square bases. Square bases work well for formed units, like in Hail Caesar. But I have figures on round bases that go on movement trays and they work well. Also, Saga can be played on square bases just fine. Just make sure the Warlord is on a slightly bigger to distinguish him from the other troops. Don't worry about base shapes. Other than that, you've been given good advice in the selection of games. Good luck!
