In this hypothetical an Archon is hit by a Lascannon, fails her Shadowfield save, takes 6 damage and fails to stop it with Power From Pain, hence being destroyed. If this character is successfully brought Back from the Brink does the Shadowfield work or not?

I think the wording for Shadow Field is the important part here but I don't have the codex to hand. Doesn't it say something like it stops working for the rest of the battle? In that case it wouldn't work.

The new FAQ clarifies that units that are set up again retain their previous characteristics. That would include a broken shadow field.

Shadowfield
This model has a 2+ invulnerable save which cannot be re-rolled for any reason. The first time this invulnerable save is failed the shadowfield ceases to function for the remainder of the battle.

I have no idea why this is even a question. It very clearly says "....ceases to function for the remainder of the battle." Its the same model getting up again, its not a new one. A new one would have a new, functional shadowfield.

Like most of the questions I ask, it's to confirm my interpretation. I don't say what my interpretation is so as to not poison the well. I've seen a few people saying it turns back on so wanted to check I wasn't mistaken.
