Hi, so im not sure if this is the best place to ask but its about 40k so will give it a shot. im currently working on some 3d necron models and it would be lovely if you could give me some feedback. im mainly looking feedback for shape, size and proportions but any feedback i welcomed.
Im planning to do every necron unit so i really want the base (as all necron more or less use same legs, torso, head and arms ) to be right from the start

Making 3D models of models GW sells is considered by many to be not on...

Untrue. Alternative 3rd party bits are always on. You should break this up into pieces that fit with gw molds.
Alternative leg poses for warriors could be very popular if priced right.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

Im not sure if this got a little scewed but this is not at all for 3d printing or anything like that. Im doing this because i love 40k so much and im learning 3d modeling. as this is a 40k forum, you know what a necron would look like. That is why im asking for feedback regarding proportion, size and shape

Actual 3d artist here - my work is in several games. Won't say which because I don't want to get doxed. Wonderful fanbase..
It's a bit difficult to give a fair criticism of the model since it looks like you based it off of the miniature. Additionally, the lighting is the default scene lighting and you're just using a t-pose, so it's overall going to lose any dynamism or character that a posed character would have. When it comes down to it, Necrons don't have much character to begin with beyond being zombie robots.
The technical reproduction is decent though, although it feels that there's something off about the face. It doesn't look as skull-like as the minis. The forehead is a bit too big, the eyes aren't large enough and the miniature model makes the eye-holes more pronounced. You got the cheek-intents started, but they don't stand out as strongly as on the mini. Some of this might just be the lighting though.
If you're going for an exact reproduction of the mini - get yourself a micrometer. It really helps to work out proportions.
If you want to pose the model just for tests/screenshots, you can just group/parent objects and save it off as a version (like Necron.001.obj). Then just rotate/move the limbs into a pose. It's faster than messing around with a full rig, unless you find an auto-rigger plugin.

The head and upper torso seem wider than I’m used to. Also, the expression somehow seems less menacing. Do you by chance have calipers and access to an esisting model to compare to?
Good job overall, though - what sort of printer are you expecting to print these out in?

Thank you, this is exactly what im looking for. Its quite hard when it comes to the cheeks because in the models its not that indent but artworks mostly thin out the jaw and mouth era more than the models, which makes it a little "difficult" which one to go after. I guess i will try both and see what ends up best. the eye sockets i believe is not as pronounced is because of the huge eye balls which are temporary just to get an idea. So i did some fast changes, pushed in the eye socked a bit and pushed out the eye edge a little closer to the cheek, thinned out the jaw and the forehead and lowered the forehead. . Do you feel it feels more "necron" now? Also, i did one where pushed up the cheeks bone a bit. Which one do you think works the best?

I think the issue with the head is that it has too much of a brow, or it could be the forehead is too bulbous, hard to say without a mini sat in front of me.

You mean a little more like this? (at least when it comes to the "brow"/ the nose area)
