COLONY 87 FINDS A NEW HOME+++

Crooked Dice are delighted to be the new owners of the wonderful Colony 87 range of Sci-Fi civilians developed by Jon Boyce.

"I'm delighted that the Colony 87 range is finding a new home with Crooked Dice. Handing over the reins not only means that the range will be more easily accessible, but will hopefully see many more new additions and continued support. I can't wait to see how things develop!"

The first two waves of figures were both successfully crowdfunded producing twelve cracking characters suitable for any starport or off-world outpost.

Crooked Dice will take over the range in the summer and will launch a third Kickstarter with new figures later this year.

The campaign will offer the opportunity to pick up the previous two releases - and all sets will be available to retail from the Crooked Dice webstore once the campaign is fulfilled.

I'm fairly sure I've seen the 2 kickstarters that funded these original 12 when Jon Boyce made them and people wondering if they could get hold of them later with not luck,

so it's good to hear they're coming back and will then be available for general retail

Huh, this may make me spend money at Crooked towers again in the future, as I missed out on both KS campaigns in the past.

Ninja'd, so I'll just add this is great news. Colony 87 is a fantastic line and I'm glad to hear they'll have a regular home.

Kickstarter for both old ranges and a third wave announced as coming this fall on Crooked Dice's Facebook Page.

"COMING SOON... COLONY 87 KICKSTARTER+++
We will have a new kickstarter launching next month. It's a new set of wonderful retro sci-fi civilians - plus the previous two waves released by Jon Boyce.
The last of the new sculpts have been finished today. The kickstarter pages are pretty much built and the Wave 3 minis are all on the painting table. Wave One and Two (pictured below) have had new paint jobs from Matt Leahy - and you will be able pick these up as part of the core pledges. Stay tuned..."

I like some of them, no use for any though.
So I’ll probably be checking it out when this thread nears the top and reminds me

I'll wait for it to (hopefully) hit retail later this year. I like some of the minis, but this isn't a good enough deal for me to go all in like I did with Astropolis.

Getting better as it passes 11K...

If you count alien pets (?) as figures, you're down to less than $5 each.

I went all in, but I'd have rather been able to pick and choose figures, so I totally understand. That was what kept me out of the earlier ones.

Anyone know how these scale against 40k/ Necromunda/ i'm guessing they're small looking at the bases , but i wonder if unusabley so?

Well, they'll look pretty tiny compared to Goliath of course, but people are not all the same size, especially civilians. Kids can be very small indeed.

I use that sort of figure for RPGs, objectives, and so on, though some would make good Necromunda hangers on.

I'm hoping it will reach the street vendor freebie level, since that is the kind of figure I can always use more of.

Here's a new cyberpunk add on...

3 days and 1k $ to go to get the street vendor:
