Hey that looks great. But i dont get what you did to get from the 5th picture to the 6th picture, what did you do to get the different look on that picture? the one where you say " this is where the magic happens ". Thanks heaps

Looks like a (bit too) dark wash around the abs and between the shoulder blades.

Had the flesh wash not been thinned, would so much white have shown through? If so, would another coat (all over) have fixed the white / darkened the abs/shoulder blades? An all-over wash is easier for the folks with shaky hands.

Done in a selective only way? ( as in not over all the muscles )

Yes, in the picture it appears to have been selectively washed in those particularly dark area. Like, between the shoulder blades along the spine it’s (in my opinion) too dark. Looks almost like he’s been split in half along his spine. At his lower back, it looks like a crevice opening into his spine. I think it’s just a case of being a bit too dark, creating “too much” depth.

That said, I love the magic weapon effect. Those look fantastic!
