My adventures into using Republic stuff have turned out pretty mediocre results so I am going back to my beloved Scum. I am flying over to Sydney for the SoS and only want to take a single squad so it has to be both hyperspace and expanded legal, as Scum are not in the best place currently this has led to some difficulty. So what do people think of this list?
Outer Rim Pioneer (28)Tactical Officer (2)Zealous Recruit (44)Zealous Recruit (44)Captain Seevor (30)Trick Shot (2)Black Sun Assassin (48)Fire-Control System (2)

I wouldn't know what to shoot first, but I'd probably try to can the Escape Craft first. Is that your plan?
Seevor is a fricking beast.

Oh yeah... A plan would probably be a good idea...
I have used Seevor and the escape craft lots together and generally pair them, Seevor doing his thing flying through every rock he sees whilst the EC can coordinate him an action as well as let him shoot if he lands awkward and doesn't want to BR. I am thinking of using the death butterfly 'Viper in conjunction and close proximity to these two to take some heat, throw some more dice and also possibly get a coordinate to mimic AS BR. The Fangs I am thinking can either be used to block or flank as the oppos list demands.

I'm just saying, it's a lot relying on fickle green dice. Seevor can be gone in a flash.
And omg I just realized the Fang Fighter's native ability does not work with turret arcs in "not-the-forward" position.

Aye, its a list that is going to pop and pop hard. An alternative is to replace the death butterfly with a Falcon to use as a meat shield.

Or you could keep the butterfly and the flying teeth and chuck the rest in favour of a Falcon.

So I took the list out to play against a few different extended ones and it performed poorly (though I replaced the butterfly with L3 Falcon). Poor dice and worse flying did not help but the list just really lacked punch and tended to pop in a stiff breeze.
Had an extended tournament as well and flew;
Seevor - TS.
Outer Rim Pioneer - Tac Off.
Sunny Bounder - Tractor.
2x Loks with VTG and Ions.
Without any playtesting at all it performed fairly well, the ability of the ORP is lovely to catch people off guard as very few people expect you to just fly through/onto rocks and so plan to maneuver around them, often leaving them without shots.
The tractor on Sunny was not used once as he was in full suicide blocker mode so I am going to scrap him and get 4Lom on one of the Loks.
Still not sure what to do for Hyperspace though (the point of the thread) really hope that the points adjustment will give some inspiration.

Fangs are just so hit or miss. But I rarely see more then Fenn or the Old Man. But I've had some fun with Elusive Kad too (even though one bad roll of greenies and it's poof town)

For sure mate, it just seems so awkward that their ability is only useful if you fly them in a way that doesn't make any sense. It doesn't help that my brain just refuses to fly them well either, but if I am having to joust I would much rather use a 10 HP, double tapping Lok!

I went against my friend who won our HS with his four Fangs list (he modified it a bit for Extended by switching out a Fang for Serissu with a Tractor) and it is insane what a Fang can endure when it gets its Focus. I would be at range 1 and nothing kept happening. Sure, I was outside of arc so wouldn't get shot, but then I'd never do any damage.
If you can practice enough with it, it's a killer list. And you have to remember to say one word. "Title", and then flip those dice onto evades and just let your opponent lose their cool.

I've been deeply underwhelmed by Seevor. In theory he should be good, but every time I've used him or gone up against him, he's always been pretty much useless. At the moment lots of ships with decent health is pretty powerful so your list looks quite good in theory. I'm waiting for the points update before thinking about any more lists right now though.

Seevor is a tricky one, as filler in a higher initiative list he is pretty woeful but I am having great use out of him (other than when he just pops, because you know, Tie fighter...). As I have him he is joint highest initiative and is really useful for jamming off peoples defensive tokens to make them more vulnerable to the Loks. He is also handy for jamming off things like Phantoms evades so they cant recloak or X1's locks so they have to use the action again to get the benefit of ATC.
Edit; Of course there is always this aspect of Seevor;
