You just need to keep an eye on the ways KT is different than 40k, which can lead to some surprising events if you aren't thinking about it (like how a model that's in combat, but wasn't charged this turn, can fall back and it's erstwhile opponents can only fallback themselves or stand there looking confused).
On the box set exclusive tactics, those seem to have been reprinted in the Elites book (minus the ones that only worked on specific maps), so you don't need to worry about missing out or them being used erroneously. The new Elites stuff (Custodes included) will probably won't fare all that well in competitive matches, as they're just too expensive to have enough guys to hold objectives, but they are super killy if you happen to walk into them. Maybe one big beatstick (Bullgryn or DG Termy?) with some chaff might work, but it's pretty easy to tie up a couple Custodes for the whole game and either win on objectives or dump all of your firepower into one of them at a time.
I'd imagine there will be a light vehicles/monsters book (since those were in old KT - stuff like a dreadnought, carnifex, or sentinel) and possibly one with faster stuff (like the various jetpack equipped models that are missing). I also wouldn't be surprised if a few more "self-contained" factions popped up, as that would be the perfect place to drop a new inquisitorial line of models for dual KT/40K use or reintroduce some of the stuff that's not popular enough for a full 40k codex release but would be great as a single sprue KT box.
