Hi I searched in forum for Bedford but it is all US.

Anyone nearby in UK? Moved here recently after a while out of country.

Like 40k 3rd ed, or WHFB 6th or 8th ed (yeah I'm an oldie).

Thanks for your kind attention.

I’m just getting back into it, probably going to start with kill team, but it looks like they run games out of war games workshop over in Milton Keynes which isn’t too far from you.

Bedford games workshop is still fairly active as far as i'm aware - they were stacked out for armies on parade last year. But it's going to be all 8th ed and AoS.

Yeah thanks thought about the GW stores but I'm not too keen on buying loads of new books and don't like the look of AoS.

Plus it's nice to have a pint while playing.

Got the Kill Team rulebook tho and that's a neat game - I have loads of teams from different factions ready to go.

There are decent clubs in Hemel and Luton, depending on how much you want to travel (not sure what the distance is tbh).

St Neots is just up the road, and there is a club there.
Or, see who responds if you poke about in here:

Theres another games club out at Huntingdon as well.

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

Cloud City, Bespin

If you'd asked about 15 years ago, it could have been possible which is when the Luton GW store closed or there abouts
