Pretty much all of my bikes have no bases since they are from 3rd edition and came with that awful rectangle horse base with slots.

I'm looking to redo all my bikes and was wondering what is the appropriate base size.

my dark vengeance bikes have the "pill" shaped base but i've seen others on oval bases.

What is the preferred size?

Looking at GW's web site, Loyalists seem to come with 25mm x 50mm bases (the pill ones) whereas Chaos Bikers come with 75mm oval bases. I thought they were all on the ovals now.

I've swapped out the pill bases with 75mm ovals and they look and feel great, especially because the oval is able to "fit" the leaning poses without having them look like they're falling over the base.

They have always been on 25x75-ish, even the old square cavalry bases were longer than the 50mm monster base (square one)
