Hey everyone,

Looking to play a friendly game with a close buddy. We haven't played in some time and we're looking to start low at 1,000 points. He will most likely be bringing 1-3 armigers(I'm guessing the long range shooters) and a knight (I'm really not sure which variant, but he doesn't own the Castellan - just the first vanilla knight) as he just finished painting up the models. I've never made a knights list, so I don't know the cost, detachments and what else he may be bringing.

I was just looking for some feedback on this list. I wanted to try dakkajet spam, but I am worried the S6 guns won't cut it against T7/T8 of the knights. I thought the mek guns might be worth more than a squad of lootas for their points considering the mek guns would be a tougher unit to wound. I was going to keep a KFF mek to sit with the mek guns while grots bubble it, and have the boys and other group of grots sit on objectives (unless we play Purge the Alien or whatever the new mission is called). Was running the Deathskulls to take advantage of the SSAG as I've heard it can pretty fun, the 6++ saves might help a little and the re-rolls should be nice on the smasha guns and wazbom. The wazbom was going to stick close to the dakkajets to provide the 6++.

My original list involved throwing a KFF mek and dual choppa nobs in a Gorkanaut for teleport shenanigans, a battlewagon full of grots and meganobs to drive up the board, and some shoota boys. It was going to be a mix of evil suns for the charges and bad moons with the shootas.

Is it worth trying out this list, or should I stick with my tellyporta bomb list? Is it worth spending the extra points for those extra supa-shootas, or use those points on a few more boys? Thanks in advance!

I feel like, considering the models you said he's likely to bring, you'll want to go with more of a Greentide list. The SSAG and Smashas will be able to handle the Armigers just fine, but the knight will be a tough cookie to crack. I think you'd be better off trying to score objectives and other missions that don't require actually attacking your opponent.
