Hi all

I’ve seen a video on YouTube with someone painting a SM rhino using the new contrast paint and the results are very bad, streaky paint and leaving brush strokes on the model. My question is this

Could armor be painted using the standard paint in the main bulk just leaving the panel edges unpainted for the contrast paint to work there magic?

I hope that makes sense lol

Thanks

Wondering if the approach would work with using contrast on the edges, around the details etc, but leave the large flat panels unpainted, then when its dry block the panels in with normal paint, and use thinned paint to blend the two around the edges?

A bit like if putting a was on a tank there is little point washing all the panels, just around the edge

Possibly, but for good results you'd have to use it like a glaze and take a darker shade up to the edges of your panels, using layers probably.
