The smash captains and libby dread are there to deal with knights. The libby dread usually kills one knight per game, and then dies gloriously himself, giving away warlord for my opponent.

Veteran intercessors are there for crowd control, for 1 cp they pump out 40 shots. That suad has also killed deamon prrinces in cc.

The three chaplain ven dread are there for vehicles and flyers.

My flyer is usually used to kill buffing characters turn one.

Wow....good luck with the list. 3 Chaplain Dreadnoughts is nasty.

Only thing i can really critque is if you're going to use Primaris....use the Primaris Lieutenant. Better bolt gun, better stats, not too much more expensive.

Who is your warlord in this list?

Cause if you want a warlord who is hard to kill you should make it a captain with Storm Shield (the Shield Eternal) and Iron Resolve. Extra wound, FNP on a 6+ and halves damage

The warlord is the librarian dreadnought, the trait makes his weapon damage 4, which is nasty when all of the buffs work out. With stratagems and psychic powers he has 3 plus 2d3 attacks, wounds anything on a 2 with ap -4. He usually kills a knight each game and then dies right after. I think that is a good trade point for point though, he makes back at least double his points that way.

Nice. my advice as always is actually play the list not just nitpick till you get tired of it. nothing is better critique than finding out the unit you think is awesome on paper is crushed on the tabletop.

Everything in this list has been play tested, just not in this configuration.

Mainly i wanted some input in what could be optimized/replaced/or beefed up.

Rampaging Furioso Blood Angel Dreadnought






Germany

Flamers are meh. Go with plasma. Add a RL to get access to flakk missile. You are wasting ranged attacks on 2+ with your captains if you give them SS. I like to run them with combiplasma. You can (safely) overcharge because they re-roll 1s.

I see your point about the plasma on the smash captains, but if i were to replace the SS with a combi weapon it would be a combi melta, same strength better AP and more potential damage without the risk of blowing myself up. The reason i prefer the SS is because of the 1/6 higher chance of making the save.
