What are the rules? I mean I know it says no political discussion yet their are political discussions about Monsanto and the Yemeni civil. So when do things become political? I'm asking because i'm trying to follow the rules.

Depends last I remember a few areas are on abasalute ban like US related plotical stuff. That was a toxic waste dump of a thread and took up so much mod time and attention they flat out vetoesd the entire subject years ago.

I've been away a it so not sure how the rule has changed though.

Some posts slip by the ban, but not forever last I knew. But that was because that time they had not really tripped any mod triangles of love.

The mods are not skynet. Everywhere, in every place always watching.

FudgeDumper - It could be that you are just so uncomfortable with the idea of your chapters primarch having his way with a docile tyranid spore cyst, that you must deny they have any feelings at all.

OK so with the discussion on Yemen can i talk about the US debate on giving aid to Saudi Arabia? I'm not trying to sound chauvinistic but pretty much every issue in the world is connected to US politics. I guess I also wanted to ask about promoting my Youtube Channel which is essentially scifi, video games, pop culture, and politics.

Not sure.

I returned after a 1-2year gap so not sure how subjectovive and how the rule lies and is enforced.

Avoid direct US politics though that's a instant lock and boulder drop though. I definitely know direct US politics has been locked on sight for years.

As for advertising. Ask a mod. I think your OK if waegaming. But other channels get iffy...

You can have the rules if you send me $200. I'll send you a copy.

Hmmm something is going on here.....Oh.... it seems there is some dispute over video taping of some sort......Frazz is really upset now..........wait a minute......whats he go there.......is it? Can it be?....Frazz has just unleashed his hidden weiner dog from his mini bag, while quoting shakespeares "Let slip the dogs the war!!" GG

I see you're very new here. The best thing is to hang around for a while and absorb the atmosphere before you start trying to challenge the system.

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Just adding for clarity:

The Yemen discussion is about the technology involved in a specific situation, and the potential applications of that.

The Monsanto discussion is about a legal case, and the health impacts of a product.

Neither of these discussions are inherently political, and so long as they avoid straying into politics will therefore not be an issue, so far as the politics ban goes.
