Are there any hidden chronopia fans out there and if so, have you ever tried playing it in a smaller scale?

Yes. Try the street fight rules. Halve the number of grunts in each unit. 4 to 8 is now 2 to 4. Next step is adding a layer by assigning 7 hit points per wound to every model. When a model is hit, attacker rolls 2d6 to determine damage. Makes for a fun twist.

That sounds pretty cool! we will have to try that, especially with it being slow going to rebuild our collections gonna post some pics when i finish painting my stygians and obsidian serpent elves.

I plan on running a Stygian warband as a horde faction for Saga Magic, sadly it is a poor fit but the closest there is.

The Street fight rules do sound interesting.

I have had to slowly build multiple forces so folks could try it out.
