Hey guys, do you use a paint shaker tool for stubborn paints?

I just bought a vortex mixer and love it.

Here's a summary of the best mixers

Thank you for taking the time to read my post.

I tried a vortex mixer, but the paint seemed too viscous to really mix...

what have you used the mixer on?
Thick paints, washes, etc?

right now I use lead fishing line weights in the bottle as an agitator,
as long as they are large enough to not get trapped in the sludge at the bottom of the bottle they work really well for me

and thanks for the link!

Cheap electric jigsaw with a 3D-printed paint bottle holder that clamps to the blade.

I've yet to see anything that shakes more vigorously than fifty back-and-forth motions per second. I generally run it at lower speed to avoid frothing up the paint. Does the job and saves my joints.

I've used it on everything even some stubborn Tamiya paints that I hadn't opened in over 10 years.

$30 reciprocating saw from Harbor Freight with a 20% off coupon, one cheap blade, and metal hose clamp to hold the paint bottle to the side of the blade. Works for me so far. I do plan to upgrade to a vortex mixer at some point when I have the money to burn.

I've been thinking about getting one and have a couple tamiya jars that need more shakin' than Ricky Bobby & Cal Naughton Jr.
