Hey all
This kind of follows on from my other thread about painting a dark grey that would take a wash...
As we're all aware
GW have released these "new" paints called contrast paints. So, naturally I'm wondering if they have any application for myself and the models I have...
I have 3 Minotaurs I want to paint for Warhammer Quest (1995), they're from Reaper Miniatures, this is the model -
I'm inspired by the Blood Bowl Death Zone rule book artwork -
And this is a paint of the Reaper model I have that I've spotted on Ebay via Google -
So, using Citadel contrast paints, I'm thinking I can achieve that black looking skin/fur easily without having to resort to highlighting, which I suck at on skin (I've never learnt to blend). I've looked at the
GW website and I'm thinking that Black Templar over a bone colour base for the skin (Ushabti Bone Air to save on buying the new Wraithbone base) and perhaps a brown coloured base for the fur is the way to go?
Any tips/ideas?
