Putting together a 1000 point army list for a quick match between me and my son. We are both noobs when it comes to actually playing the game.
I would welcome comments!
His army:

Command barge, gauss cannon, staff of light, orb 203
Cloaked cryptek with staff of light. 85
Squad of 6 wraiths with whips. 384

5 scarab swarms. 65

Immortals x 10 (carbines). 170
Immortals x 5. Gauss. 85

Total 992

Tactic:

Scarabs lead as cannon fodder with the wraiths behind, and the cryptek and barge behind them.
Charge these guys into close combat- with resurrection protocols, orb and living metal they should be pretty hard hitting and hard to kill.
Immortals hang back to provide cover.

I'd recommend installing battlescribe. A lot of underperforming necron units went down in points (the same goes for other armies), battlescribe is an easy way to get the most up to date point costs without having to work through all sources.

The only unit here that hasn't had a points drop is the cryptek.

Apart from that your list looks fun. I'd advise splitting the 10 immortals into 2x5 so you have a batallion detachment, netting you 5cp.

I weighed in on the SW list, but will weigh in here as well. necron can easily outshoot SW in a gunline, as the WBB rolls will inevitably overpower them. I would NOT switch to 2x 5 man squads of immortals, as the Hellblasters will easily drop all 5 of them, leaving no room for WBB. It's noce to have big squads for survivability.
The scarab swarms should actually try to tie down the first SW HQ's that get near your line. Then fan out the immortals aroun d the compat and hope that everyone dies in enemies combat phase, leaving their units in the open for your next shots.
Destroyers are very good against SW. If you can take out their longer range weapons (usually not that difficult), they can never catch them. They are super annoying when uncheckable...

Are you running a melee oriented list style against him?

Thanks for the advice on both threads. I didn’t know about BattleScribe and it’s made life a whole lot easier, thank you!!

Update:
As predicted, the Necrons are shouting “BAD DOG” and making the space wolves sleep outside in the kennel.

The immortals are doing the most damage, wraiths are weaker in the fight phase than I thought they would be but are just impossible to kill.

Primaris marines are a lot less durable that I was expecting.

Thanks everyone for all the input!

If you use novokh as dynasty choice your wraith get to re-roll failed hit rolls in the fight phase when they charge, or get charged. And because they can fall back and charge, you can do this every turn, always re-rolling failed hits in the fight phase. They ignore models when falling back, so you can pretty much always fall back.
