Just grabbed a box of Urban Conquest, and am looking to fill out my gaming table with city terrain. Currently I have one each of the old santum imperialism and basilica administratum boxes. Looking at the new sector imperialis terrain it look awesome, but man it is expensive. If you pick up the basilicanum box, that's ~$90 for 1 building! You need at least 6 for a cities of death board! For almost the same price I can get a whole table's worth of terrain on gamemat.eu (city of steel)

For those of you who have picked some up or played on it, what's the value on sector imperialis? Is it worth the price?

The Kill Team box is pretty good value for the amount of terrain you get in it and it contains some of the 2-storey ruins too.

City of steel gives you something that you can play on and fits the rules but is a far more basic product in terms of detail. At the end of the day, it is a trade-off between price and detail.

This is the reason I bought 2 of Kill Team, that and for the Skittari, but note that GW doesn't stock it any more! They also don't stock the 'current' Imperial Sector box set, which was 3 buildings for the cost of the Basilicanum.

Try to track these 2 sets down. I haven't even built my Imperial Sector yet and I have 1 three story ruin, 3 two story ruins, and seven sets of ruined walls, just from 2 boxes of Kill Team. If you can't get them, just buy the Administratum mutliple times. It has the 4 main 'building block' sprues - common to most kits, and the 'fancy' parts of the Basilicanum and Sanctum look neat but don't offer a lot of terrain value compared to more walls and floors.

The terrain is VERY sturdy and pretty flexible in what you can build, so I think the Administratum by itself is worth the money if you can't land Kill Team or Imperial Sector.
