Evening gents,
I'm looking to get back into the hobby but before I drop money into the pit, I wanted to make sure there is a player base in my area. Thanks for your time!

NOVA has a pretty strong AoS scene.
Search NOVA: Games Workshop Games in Facebook and join up. I don’t partake because I’m in northern MD, but I follow their page and its pretty active.

I think Huzzah Hobbies in Ashburn is a pretty strong local store. I don't know if the Ironfist League are still around since the Game Parlor in Chantilly closed. There's a Warhammer store in the Kentlands, MD; and there's Dream Wizards in Rockville, MD but I don't think there's much of an AoS scene there. No idea if there's anything in D.C. proper.

There's a group called the 13th Legion based out of Reiter's Books, a few blocks from Farragut West on the Orange/Silver/Blue lines. The Legion is mostly focused on 40k, but there are several AoS players on the Discord that arrange meetups and matches with each other.
