Neophyte Undergoing Surgeries

Hi All,

As the title has said, I've returned to the hobby after 18 years (first necrons in blisters!) after my mum randomly bought me the know no fear boxset. A year later my plastic crack addiction has grown.

Initially i was only interested in painting - which I have another quick question about shortly. However I have an urge to play 40k.

I have no idea the rules or anything but I can look into that. I just want to make sure I can build a legal army.

Due to my starter box, I have an army of space marines and chaos growing - I'm gonna focus on marines initially. I have stuck with simple Ultramarines (I know I know!) I'm gonna list my current space marine models below and was wondering what I need to get legal, which ones I shouldn't bother with etc.

Intercessors x 5
Centurion Devastators x 4
Tartaros Terminators x 5
Contemptor w/ gattling cannon
Rdemptor w/ gattling cannon
Guilliman
Marneus Calgar
Captain in Gravis Armour
Standard Primaris Captain
Apothacary
Chaplain

I do have hellblasters and inceptors but i've painted them different colours and are using them as show pieces

As a side note I do have an Imperial Knight Valiant and unpainted Knight Gallant (although i think I may paint the gallant as chaos - undecided yet)

I will be getting more intercessors shortly with an upcoming conquest issue.

Any advice and what I should go for or even remove would be greatly appreciated.

As a side note, after a year of painting i've had some really good feedback but I would prefer the brutal honesty of the internet before considering getting into commissioning.

Anyways, I've rambled enough. Thank you in advance for your time I really appreciate it and I hope to be gaming soon.

Sorry forgot to add with the feedback thing on painting. Is there a specific forum section dedicated to painting feedback? I don't want to spam with unrelated things

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

Welcome!

Yes there is, try the painting and modeling show case section for feedback.

Also try the 40k general section for asking questions like the ones you are asking.

And go to the painting and modeling section for questions about painting and modeling.
