Subject: 3D printed - Living vs Undead Egyptians chess set
I 3D printed a chess set for a friend of mine who is into chess. I scaled them so that the Queen was the tallest, and each other piece was a little smaller, stepping down from the king to the pawns. The Queens are 60mm, so about 2 space marines tall. The pawns are about 50mm if I recall (I've been working on this sort of a while).
Post print, I painted them with techniques familiar to any new Necron player - primed with Vallejo, airbrushed with either a gold or silver base, did a lighter zenithal, and then drybrushed a bit. The only change I made was instead of using dullcote, I used 2x coats of Future floor polish to toughen them up as play pieces. Unfortunately this glossy finish makes photographing them a little more difficult. I used sticky furniture pads for the bottom cloth parts.
Spoiler:

Errata: if you look carefully, you will see the bases for the Knights appear different than the rest of the set. The set wasn't made as one unit, but actually by several different people (!) and the bases for the Knights are indeed different. it's pretty close, though.
