mathematically speaking, since in index imperium 1 grey knights can get 2 falchions for free, it makes no sense really to arm them with anything other than the 2 falchion setup, except if you need a deamon hammer, when games workshop releases new codexes are they replacing the index? i dont have access to a codex with the updated rule setup

Just have a look into battlescribe which contains both, codex and index rules.

It's a Codex option as well.

As far as whether the codex replaces the index, well...it's complicated. In short, yes - unless there's wargear or units in the Index that didn't make it to the Codex.

In this case you have nothing to worry about.

So you're saying you have a 7th ed codex & want to know if you can just use the Index instead of the 8th ed codex?

I do not understand the question.

You would use the most recent rules for your army, which is the 8th edition codex, regardless of what you personally have.

Yep it has the same picture on the front but a black border around it, though it seems everyone has been universally trashing it (personally, I find it “meh” to okay, but that may due to the smaller games and opponents I play)

oh bummer i bought a used one on amazon, figured it wudnt have THE SAME PICTURE on the front smh =/
