As for the name change, in short: Ion Maiden got sued by Iron Maiden and they decided to change the name to avoid a legal battle that may have pushed back the release even further.

Looking forward to this one, bought it ages ago to give it a try and the old school graphics paired with modern controls made for a great experience.
