And if so, in what capacity? Mainly wondering about pre-heresy. I think post-heresy it's mainly tzaangors, right?
Just curious for some fluff i'm trying to come up with. Couldn't find much via google/lexicanum/wikis about humans specifically.

ALL the heresy era Legions had normal human servants.

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

Post-Heresy I believe they still maintain some version of the Prosperine Spireguard, as well as human acolyte sorcerers who act as psychic assistants, sacrifices, and presumably are occasionally elevated to the ranks of the Thousand Sons using the incredibly volatile geneseed of fallen Sorcerers.

Pre-Heresy, yes, they had an entire planet in the form of Prospero. The best source for more (outside of the Black Library) would be Forge World's Horus Heresy Book VII: Inferno.

The narrator of Talon of Horus started his space marine career as a Thousand Son, and spent a significant amount of time as the leader of a warband with his own ship.

He gives various perspectives from throughout his career of the kind of underlings he has work for him.
