Subject: Getting an airbrush questions.

So I'm finally ready to spend a bit of cash and get myself an airbrush setup. Just had a couple of questions.
Firstly I'm not sure how much I should be spending on a compressor. I know I should get one with a tank, moisture trap and adjustable pressure. This one fits the bill: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1-6HP-Air-Compressor-for-Spray-Gun-Air-Brush-AS-186-/260985916715 But am I going to have problems with a cheaper compressor? I've also found this: http://www.thecombatcompany.com/hobby/airbrushes-and-compressors/compressors/badger-tc910-aspire-pro-airbrush-compressor/ but that's really stretching the budget. What is the badger giving me that the cheaper compressor isn't?
Also I live in an apartment so will have to spray indoors. I'll be spraying at my hobby table which is right next to a large window but I'll still be buying a respirator so I don't breath in any paint. Will I still need a spray booth though? They seem rather bulky and expensive. Also if I do manage to get dried paint dust everywhere how easy is it to clean? I'm renting so I'd rather not lose any of my bond.

First one will be fine.
If you have a good respirator mask then your main concern is just not getting paint dust on everything. Spray into a cardboard box or something.

That first one looks exactly like mine. It seems to be a generic design that gets sold under a few labels. Mine has always been absolutely fine. I think it's probably the most commonly used type of compressor there is.

Yeap looks pretty much like my compressor I got as a combo deal.
I would echo the advice of getting cheap starter airbrush/compressor combo to get you started. Once you learn the basics of hooking up cleaning etc you will want to upgrade to a nice airbrush you will have experience looking after.

Another vote for the cheap combo deals; I was expecting to just get a useable compressor and an airbrush I would quickly discard, but it turned out the brushes I included were reasonable quality and I’ve yet to feel the need to upgrade. They’re perfectly adequate for priming, base coating and blocking out colours.

Yeah. Honestly, its been 5 years, and i just "upgraded" by compressor to one with a tank.
I picked up another airbrush but its the master series and i wanted a .3 needle which i didnt have, it cost like $30
A lot of people think that the airbrush is just going to magically make them a studio painter. It wont. It is a skill set just like anything else. You will have to learn brush control, air control, mixing ratios with different brands of paint, masking to deal with overspray, etc...
Think of it this way. If you were 12 and just starting to get into warhammer and wanted to buy a paintbrush, are you going to buy a set of Windsor Newton Series 7 or a $10 variety pack at hobby lobby.

I dont know, I was happy with one of these for many a year untill I discovered fine detail
I have an old aerograph sprite with the .5 nozzle but no compressor, it will be a slow gift to myself one day

I use a Rigid 6 gallon pancake compressor from Home Depot. Before that I had a 3 gallon pancake compressor from Harbor Freight I got with a coupon for like $40.
Need a little adapter fitting for the airbrush hose but most standard compressors come with a water trap, and a regulator. I originally had a "airbrush" compressor but it kick on and off a lot, and heated up which seemed to increase the moisture in the line even with the trap, and was basically annoying.
The Rigid is 150psi and pretty heft HP. It's loud when it kicks on but comes up to pressure quickly, and once there I can pretty much turn it off, and airbrush for half a hour undisturbed.
