I managed to snag the Sylvaneth half of Looncurse and I'm not even sure yet if I'm going to go all-in on AoS or if I'm just going to enjoy painting some creepy tree-spirits. I'm going to play the intro battles in Looncurse itself before I make a final decision on that but in the meantime, I went and placed a preorder for the Warscrolls and now I'm wondering if I need them. They all seem to be found in the AoS app - where they're up to date to boot! - and I'm just not sure I see the value in having them. I even already have card warscrolls for the figures I own in Looncurse.

What do people think of these things? Worth having or is the money better spent elsewhere? Thanks for your answers!

Are you talking about the cards worth having?

They are faster than having to page through the book or flip through the AOS app. In fact I'd say one of my peeves is watching my opponent take 5-10 minutes everytime they activate a unit to get on their phone to read the warscroll (again) so I'd say yeah they are worth it.

Yes, I'm wondering if the cards are worth having, since they don't add anything that I don't already have for free on my phone or in the Looncurse box (I don't own any non-Looncurse units yet).

I guess that's a vote in favor (at least of your opponents having cards).

I bought them for my Slaanesh army. And my wife preordered the cards for her Sylvaneth army. Plus, they come with tokens for the varying spells and abilities to keep track of things. I think they’re a good idea to have.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

I think it depends on how well you know your army and how confident you are in remembering your rules. I didn't bother with them last time around but looking up rules constantly because I was always terrified I had misremembered basic stuff like movement ranges long after I had actually memorized them slowed my games down considerably.

For 20 bucks I might go ahead and buy them this time around, I imagine I'd get a lot of use out of them.

But you can just as easily put the rules on cue cards yourself.

I always suggest people to get the Warscroll Cards. It's a handy thing to have and any FAQ'd/Relic items can be put onto the card with a sticky note.

Very yes. They make rules referencing so much faster.
