Hello folks,

the retro video game bug stung me last year and I started to play Elder Scrolls Arena & Elder Scrolls Arena Daggerfall again. After taking a lengthy break from both games I continued my save game of Daggerfall a few weeks ago and was afflicted by Lycanthropy. I could have used a Cure Disease potion at the time but instead opted to go along and play the quest line to cure the dreaded disease. Things were looking fine after the first dungeon but I am now stuck because I can´t find a quest item which is a book in the second dungeon despite looking for it for a long time.

Now comes my question to you:

Does anybody know where the said book can be found in this dungeon (Dunyn Laboratory) or has anybody knowledge about it that this particular dungeon is flawed in any way and therefore the retrieval of the quest item is impossible to accomplish? There is still the option of loading an older game file and proceeding the game with a healthy character but I am a bit reluctant to do it just yet.

It's a times quest if I remembered correctly so that could be the issue, it's not a book but a scrap of paper which is all that's left of the book.
I don't think the quest is broken but it is daggerfall so all sorts of weirdness could happen.

Yeah, I am aware of the wiki. Time is of no issue because all quests in Daggerfall have time limits and I start them immediately when I get them. According to the wiki, the quest is fine. Oh well, I will leave the dungeon and enter it right again. When you do this the map of the dungeon vanishes and it is filled with monsters again akin to a reboot. But thanks anyway.
