Subject: Awaken Realms Etherfields game - KS funded - late backer now open till 20th may
Unless I've missed it Im the first with this news here, which kind of is insane that they can reach 1 million in a single day. That said with multiple other KS behind them I'm trusting that they can achieve the sculpts they present because they've got an awesome design to them. A bit like a "SFW" Kingdom death feel to some of the designs.
Pledging is also simple - £75 for the core box, £117 for core and miniature expansion. Stretchgoals and lots of optional extras (pledge manager after campaign)

I wish I had a good group to play this with. It looks like the kind of have that is very dependent on having the right group to play it with. It does look very nice.

This is actually the first Kickstarter I backed. I simply loved Neuroshima Hex made by the same designer (probably the most played board game in my life, with easily 1000+ plays under my belt, albeit on mobile version) and have just recently played in Nemesis by the same studio and was really impressed by the quality of the game elements and miniatures (and gameplay as well; it actually restarted my interest in boardgames after 3+ years dedicated solely to 40K and Oldcromunda). The only con for me is waiting time, as I'm totally not used to Kickstarter timelines

I've actually pulled out of this one now but not because of anything wrong with it. The sculpts look fantastic and the company has good (from what I can see) track record of delivery. I just think that I'm not a good enough painter to get out of the models what I want at this stage. So I'm letting this one pass me by, though chances are I'll still want to grab some of the models in the future because they do look really awesome.
I backed it because it looked really interesting, but watching a few gameplay vids made it look like it wasn't particularly well suited for solo play, so I'm down to £1 just so I can get the creature box in the pledge manager.
But it still looks really interesting, so I'm still quite tempted to just get it anyways.

A prototype review on BGG by Filipe. "The cards mechanic brought too much randomness to the game and felt themeless. I felt at times like playing Splendor, trying to collect enough colored symbols to perform something (e.g. 4 greens to reveal a tile, or 6 yellows to push the car). There was a moment where one of us couldn't do anything his whole turn, because he had only green and red cards and you need yellow to move - imagine, an exploration game where you can't move a whole turn because of an unlucky cards draft."
Although, to be frank, each time I see a AR KS, I wish I backed This War of Mine. I picked up the expansion on sale, and, while the miniatures were meh (although you do get a cat I liked the moral dilemmas and fluff!
