Toying with some Chaos Knights options and looking for C&C. This would be for ITC style competitive games.
Super Heavy Detachment - Iconoclast
Chaos Knight Despoiler - 2xAvenger Gatling Cannons, 2xHeavy Flamers, Heavy Stubber, Titanic Feet. Character, WARLORD - Trait - Infernal Quest. Relic - Helm of Warpsight.
Chaos Knight Despoiler - 2xThermal Cannons, Heavy Stubber, Titanic Feet. Character. Relic - Khornate Target
Chaos Knight Despoiler - 2xThermal Cannons, Heavy Stubber, Titanic Feet. Character. Relic - The Quicksilver Throne of Slanesh
Super Heavy Auxilliary Detachment
Mortarion - Miasma, Curse of the Leper, Blades of Putrefaction
Patrol Detachment - Nurgle
Sorcerer on Palanquin of Nurgle, Force Stave. 2 of the following:
1. Warptime - makes Mortarion more of a threat and forces my opponent to ignore the knights and to some extent the Nurglings while the Sorcerer is alive
2. Prescience - against Imperium, makes Mortarions CC attacks explode on 5s, makes him even more of a beast
3. Death Hex - for all the Thermal cannons
2 units of 3 Nurglings
In ITC format the plan is very simple, hold at least 1 per turn and kill more each turn. With the end goal being to table or nearly table my opponent.
The relics on the Thermal Knights will encourage them to get closer, which will also make best use of their Meltas (half range...). A little bit of Death Hex and reroll hits will result in the Avengers clearings stubborn units that shield (would be very useful against Plaguebearers and the like).
Morty is a distraction, and will likely be cleared first turn or 2, but allows my knights to move and shoot for those turns. I know most (if not all) will advise losing him for a full batallion But I just love Morty and singlehandedly he can change a game so much
By my reckoning I am left with 6 CP after the extra relics (which I may not take in favour of deepstriking the Nurglings, not sure yet).
Thanks all
