So there was an additional set of sprues for the Ryza terrain in the Sector Fronteris. But it never came out in a boxed set. I wonder why? Seems a bit of a waste to design a sprue specific to a kill zone that is only such a limited run.
Additionally, i wish the kill zones hadn't been such limited runs, they're fantastic fun and value.

GW has always been weird with terrain. Some kits have been around for over a decade and some they only put up for a few months before they disappear forever.

I agree, but GW has never been about value to the customer.

Do you have any pictures of this additional terrain, chief?

GW have a lot of sprues that they don't sell for no plausible reason, discontinue without clear reasoning or alternativly have multiple sprues who's honestly serve no purpose as there is overlap with other kits.
Most have given up on trying to understand their logic. others have lost their sanity.

can neither confirm nor deny I lost track of what I've got right now. |

What was a shame was that the sprue was the only one that allowed you to build an intact wall with any sort of roof.
I've always wondered about this kit too. It seems like some time ago GW did a big 40k terrain push, where they did a lot terrain kits for the game, some of which I still don't think we've seen. I think on some level they came up with more than they could really handle manufacturing and sales wise and so they just haven't done as much to promote or get certain kits in the limelight.
When I look at the Ryza kits' sprues, they have the least sophisticated sprue design; the sprue design is poor given what I know GW can do with injection molding. Some of these Ryza kits have over 150 sprue gates and connection points for only 4 or 5 major pieces. That's overkill and shows someone didn't really know what they were doing. But all that also introduces the potential for issues with manufacturing in particular with the aggressiveness you'd need to pop it out of the mold. I think they produced a number of these sprues and burnt out the molds; that they knew they wouldn't necessarily be able to produce a larger volume before it wore out and adjusted their sales approach.
I love these because they aesthetically go with the Sector Mechanicus terrain and its great having a mix of terrain beyond walkways and machinery that are cohesive.

One of the sprues was already in the Moon Base Klaisus box: And the other one is exclusive to the still available in the Killzone: Sector Fronteris box: There's also a defiled one in the Mekboy Workshop:

Not sure what went on with your spoilered images there - but is it bad that the bit that I really like on those two frames is the Inquisitorial ammo crate?

Fronteris isn’t available in the states anymore. Not unless you find one hidden on a shelf.
