Hello!
I'm quite curious if there are any mentions about devices that control the weather. (Cadian pylons do not count ).
The only mention I'm aware of are atmospheric processors (can't recall the name) mentioned in the last chapters of the Forges of Mars book series, that were used for terraforming and that included clearing out the weather.
Are there any other mentions?

Devices that control the weather? Other than the miniterraforming that the Cabal did to set up a meeting for the Alpha Alegion on hydra-whatever, I don't know of anything designed to make rain or whatever.
There's a mausuleum world in the demonifuge series that has ion storms, a side effect of the amount of lasgun fire that happened there.
I recall at one point that bringing a ship into a planets atmosphere, ( or even the landing of so many troop landers) messes up the weather systems on a world causing floods and storms and so on.

There's something called a Climatrope that controls the weather in the Space Wolves codexes.

There was something in one of the Eisenhorn books. I don’t remember what effect it had on the weather, but it did have terrible pollution consequences.

If the truth can destroy it, then it deserves to be destroyed. |

Yeah, the planet was usually riddled with cloud cover so they had them clear the skies so it would be sunny on the day of the parade celebrating a successful Imperial crusade. It caused the already polluted atmosphere to disgorge massive amounts of pollution into the water supplies and ground level of the planet. If I recall correctly, the organization responsible was called the Ordo Meteorologica or something.

There have been many weather control devices mentioned in the various novels, as mentioned above.
Such technology would be necessary for many of the more extreme planets to function, namely hive worlds and planet sized hives like Terra. Of course, they usually have some nasty side effects.
