Hey there, I just started collecting Chaos Space Marines using Shadowspear and the new range of kits. This is what I've come up with so far, given what I have access to. I am a bit inexperienced regarding list making and only have a few battles using Admech under my belt.

As a bit of a old chaos spanker, the icons are not really worth it except the khorne one to get into melee.

Slaanesh is a better option for your Chosen, in order to use cacophony.

The MoP is a nice utility tool but sadly a bit lacking compared to the normal sorcerer. (since both share the same points though, just switch him out)

You need CP to run CSM effectively. Ergo you need atleast a battalion.

You have 17 pts left, imo i'd cut one chosen squad, split the 10 man CSM squad up and add in a cheap lord and 10 cultists.

Try to split the marine troup in 2 smaller of 5, maybe give each 1 heavy choice like reaper chain cannon or autocannon. Then add 1 more troup of 10 coultists or another of marines.

To get 5 cp for the battalion detachment You Need 1 more HQ. A daemon Prince would be great. Winged or not (your choice) choose your build (i like this One> warlord; 2 talons; warp bolter; Chaos gift: intoxicating elisir; Psy power: smithe & warp time). Also other hq are great as well like lord discordant, harkeen, and others, but You Need to build a more specific army.

After chosing that, which Is the core of ur army, Just add some models You like/have in your collection.

Remove icon from choosen, give him slaanesh Mark (look at endless cacophony and veterans of long war stratagems) and carry in the Rhino. Havocs are not so good with autocannon, so bench them.
