What would be the correct choice in hive fleet for Tyranids, if they were facing off against Space Wolves. I guess Leviathan is the closest from the map in the codex, but nothing coming from that side of the galaxy per Tyranid...yet.

Any thoughts?

A major leviathan tendril got scattered all over the galaxy by a warp storm. I think it was the one that attacked Baal. Basically so that they could be justified appearing pretty much anywhere.
However the same logic could apply to any hive fleet. They've all had minor splinters get thrown around to random places, and eventually snowball back up to size.

There's also the Assault on Magnir's Crag display at warhammer world, depicting hive fleet Behemoth assaulting a space wolf fortress. It gets points for being totally awesome.
Spoiler:

There isn't really a wrong choice here.

There is also the fact that the Space Wolves are 'crusading' and scattered across the Galaxy because reasons. So they could be fighting any Tendril of any Hive Fleet at any point currently.

The ones on their own planet of Fenris.
Going to use a cheeky fan theory but it seemed like a cool one in my opinion.
Fenris has two types of fauna, Ice Age megafauna like giant elk, mammoths and wolves - Viking fantasy or parallel evolution is up for debate. The second type is the fantastic critters like Kraken, Drakes, Wyrms and Trolls.
The theory claims that the fantastic side are actually early Tyrannids that scoped out Fenris before human arrival, reported back that it was both harsh and limited in biomass and were left behind because continuing the search was more important than collecting them and sodded off out of the galaxy.
Time passed, the ‘bids adapted to Fenris and Fenrisian local wildlife sprang up around them, humans arrived then got cut off and time passed again until the Space Wolves arrived, the Horus Heresy happened and the Tyrannids were attracted once more.
Now you have the possibility of these early Tyrannids ‘remembering’ what they are.

I don't break the rules but I'll bend them as far as they'll go.

Just to update a little bit since I wrote haphazardly, without much context...

Basically back into 40k since April and have been collecting Tyranids to start up again (actually had a few unbuilt from another interest a few years back). Of course since I am much older and can afford, well whatever I want lol, I went on buying space wolves, because who doesn't like that legion with the Viking lore, wulfen and wolves, wish I did back in the day, but I think between the group of friends I decided Dark Angels for whatever reason while someone else took up space wolves.

Anyway through all this (and while purchasing a lot of thousand sons, since they're natural enemies), I just wanted to ask other 40k fans what would be the most accurate fleet to fight the space wolves in their current location (Fenris).

That is one cool display, if only I had the endless time and patience to replicate something close to that.

Looks like that's Hive Fleet Kronos in the display.

I know, see my first next post was trying to be more descriptive. But your probably right, should just paint my Tyranids which ever template I like the best, because it can be explained by the lore. Jormungandr, looks the coolest to me, but then again not loving the black/yellow due to my sports affiliations and hatred, lol.

Interesting thought/fan theory. Got to say, I'm loving the lore and story of the 40k universe, since I never paid attention much as a kid.

It's definitely behemoth.
Kronos is brown skin with red carapace, like this:
Spoiler:

Plus this display was made back in 2009, far before Kronos even existed in the fluff. Kronos was only introduced with the 8th edition codex.
