I've been thinking about running a best of chaos Terminators list. Mostly because it'll be fun and I want to play something different. Also I own everything but Abbadon and the csm Terminators in the list below.
I don't expect to win any GTs with this list but what are people's thoughts on how to make it work within the following constraints:
1) Terminators should make up the vast majority of the list.
2) I would prefer to have Scarabs, Blightlords and CSM Terminators in the list.
3) I want to be able to drop as much as possible turn 2 for a big beta strike. With tough stuff left on the board t1.
Currently I'm planning to drop in scarabs, plasma termies and termie sorcerer 898 points total. Blightlords hold middle geound and bully the mid board. Typhus and poxwalkers march up and spread out. CSM and sorcerer drop in t2 and do their thing. Scarabs are fairly independent. Cultists try to deliver abandon into mele so he can chop up big threats.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Oh also I'd considered having a TSons character or two eith dark matter crystal so I can start with the scarabs on the board instead and drop in the blightlords and Typhus. But I couldn't make the points fit. If you guys have any suggestions that'd be great.

My thoughts are your better off with sons as the battalion. Tzaangors over cultists adds quite a bit to the list. Plus greater psych range/options. Definitely take dmc.
This is one instance where I'd at least entertain some combi plasmas on those blightlords. 18" double tap with abby and prescience in a list pretty short on heavy weapons.
On that note a couple single oblits wouldn't be too far out of bounds would it? Just a thought.
Thanks man, I thought it would be a blast to play. I think you're right with the tsons and the dmc. I hadn't thought about oblits, I suppose they're just really chaosified Terminators. I have 9 of them including 3 of the shadowspear ones so I could definitely try them out in a devistaion battery.
Damn seeing the oblits in list form I don't think they fit as well as I'd thought. Stupid pts increase.
I definitely like list 2 the best so far so working from that..
I did question Abaddons inclusion, for just a moment. But of course he'd be there commanding the onslaught of 30 tda. Plus he does add 2 cp a nasty counterpunch and fearless everything.
I think you could tweak this thing for days and each version would be cool so I'll just give a bit more input, still keeping to your theme..
Typhus could really use more zombies to buff and channel MWs through. So each terminator nets you approx 5-6 tzaangs/walkers. Whether its worth the trade off in this particular list or not Idk. I'd probably just squeeze some zombies by dropping a terminator and call it done.
Thats it man I'd be interested in a batrep.

Yeah I prefer no oblits and Abbadon. Purely about keeping the theme going, Abandon is king Terminator and makes a decent warlord. Plus it gives me an excuse to pick him up despite me not playing black legion.
I know man, but dark matter crystal lets me start the scarabs on the table. The plasma termies, Abbadon and the blightlords can come in via deepstrike and everything else is on the table.
I've ended up running this list a few times now. Dropped Abandon and the csm Terminators and added the nurglings to secure some good positions for the scarabs, oblits and blightlords to drop into. It's a lot of fun to play.
The oblits are still genuinely worth their points as are the scarabs. But the allstars, especially since they got hateful assault are the blightlords. Anything they touch gets destroyed even invuls aren't a problem when they have blades of putrifaction and VotLW.
There's a few problems with the list, mainly lack of cp and I'm sure it would have a difficult time with flyer spam. But it is a blast to play.
