Homebrew Space Marine Chapter
This is just a rough draft I came up with a little while ago, so constructive criticism is always welcome.
- Chapter Name: Tidecallers
- Chapter Founding: Ultima Founding
- Chapter Homeworld: Neptulon(?) (Anyone have any other names that would match a ocean planet?)
- The entire planet surface is covered by water, so in order to survive such a planet with its great waves and storms, great engineers and craftsmen created floating towers under water, so that could house not only a Space Marine chapter, but also a
sizeable civilian population.
- Many species of flora and fauna
- Rusalka are known for their beauty and may lure men into a trap and drag them to the depths of the ocean
- Vodyanoi are known to a have a fish like appearance, with seaweed clung to their bodies, which is where they dwell and may also drag whomever it is able to capture
- Both may have been originally human, but it has never been confirmed
- What appears in the ocean is very similar to our own fauna such as sharks, eels, octopi, turtles, mantas, etc.
- Parent Chapter: <Unknown, as Neptulon (?) has had been overseen by multiple Imperium forces, such as the Ultramarines and White Scars, until their own chapter was created and is now independent of other military forces>
- Chapter Tactics: <Insert any Chapter Tactic as the Parent Chapter is unknown>
Chapter Initiation Rites: Any man brave enough may try to complete the task known as the Challenge of the Depths, where they are given a combat knife and a small oxygen tank. In the waters below lays a trident, to which the contender has to retrieve. Simple enough, but there are creatures in the waters that can attack at any time. Once the trident is retrieved, the winner of the contest is placed with the Tidecallers, soon to become an initiate of a great and honorable chapter.
I am currently looking for an icon that relates to water/sea creatures, I've found some, like a trident (but that's already taken by the Emperor's Spears) and the Maori Moana. If you can think of anything else, please tell me!
Thank you!

Nice Chapter name!
I think I remember drawing a blank when you first posted about names.

I think you'll get bored of painting the white midriff and crotch en masse pretty quickly...

Haha, yeah. I think I’m going to just paint them in a medium blue for the main armor parts and dark blue for the trim.

I like the blue and white, maybe go a white trim? this of course if if you can paint white alright, it can be a problem (maybe go with a real light grey instead?)

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two |

Yeah, something like Ulthuan Grey or something lighter perhaps.

Going with this color scheme, so hopefully it works out. I'll have to adjust the lore for there being a settlement of humans on an entirely ocean planet, so I may just have island chains throughout with different tribes.
