Hello dakkanauts. I'm having a discussion over gellerpox of all things, specifically the warlord trait twisted brilliance. Help solve please.

My friend feels that twisted brilliance command points can be used on rule book stratagems. I feel these specific command points only apply to the strats on page 18 of the gellerpox infected supplement. Whats your take?

For reference:

"TWISTED BRILLIANCE
If your army is Battle-Forged, you receive 3 additional Command Points. These can only be spent to use Gellerpox Infected Stratagems (page 18)"

It literally says These (as in, the 3 additional command points) can only be spent to use Gellerpox Infected Stratagems. How in the name of the Man-Emperor of Mankind is he claiming he can spend those 3 CP on BRB stratagems? Like, what exactly is his argument?

I said the same thing thing.

I think the hangup is each battle forged army has access to the rulebook strats. My argument is each set of strats is a separate and distinct list. They are not inclusive.

Afaik this is the only instance of a cp restriction such as this, likely to prevent cp battery use of a kill team port over.

Cities of death (narrative play) also has CP which can only be spend on cities of death stratagems.

It's super clear. It literally says they can only be used on Gellerpox Stratagems. BRB Strats are not Gellerpox Stratagems.

You can use BRB Stratagems on the unit generally sure, but absolutely not with those 3 CP.
