Hello. I am using the Agrellan Earth texture paint from Citadel for the first time, and I had an issue. I painted a base with it just to see how it would turn out, and it looks pretty good overall; however, around the edge of the base some of the little chunks of it have flaked off. Is this normal? What can I do to prevent it in the future? My initial thought was that I may have made it too thin in those spots, but I am not 100% sure. Should I just paint some more of it over those spots to fix them? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Yes probably. You just need to be careful when handling.

Agrellan Earth does indeed flake off rather easily. I have prevented flaking off by covering it with watered down PVA glue or simply painting over it. Straight from the pot it doesn't even look that good IMO.

That place is the harsh dark future far left with only war left.

I would get some vallejo acrylic matt varnish, the kind in the little bottle and brush a thin coat or two over it to seal it in place and increase durability. You could use white glue (pva) but that dries with a gloss sheen sometimes.

Other options include painting the base beforehand so that another colour shows through the flaked off parts. Or alternatively attaching little plant tufts to the worst affected areas.

Generally anything that survives a good drybrushing is solid enough for day to day use.
