Looks good, I'll just share a few thoughts.

I'm a committed doomseer man, can't imagine games without it. Ambush of blades also encourages some risky moves with the seer. Same with Phoenix gem, try to sit the seer safely between the serpents, or bikes, don't risk him. T4 6w 4+ is still very squishy. But I baby mine and only commit at the end of the game or if his still guaranteed safety.
Avengers and serpents are good. (Engines if ya have spare points, makes them extremely hard to kill)
I think most people run 2 hemlocks 1 exarch(no personal experience here), I'd swap these around.
I prefer smaller/less jetbikes, if something really wants them dead, they will die. It can be harder to hide 3 medium sized squads, plus fire and fade less useful. Maybe swap for a naked squad(and upgrade flyers with points).
Love the shining spears, wish I had some to play with. It's unlikely that you will need the full quicken/jinx/fortune/doom buff combo though. They should be able to knock out most things.

About jetbikes, I prefer to play big units because it's most effective when you cast Guide/Fortune/Conceal, etc...

Did the FAQ impact Doom to where it only works with units in derived from the same Craftworld ? I've been out of the loop a bit, but remember some FAQ to Doom.

I really like the large units of Windriders. How have they worked for you?

Where you play, do you allow for utilizing the Index rules to build a Skyrunner Autarch? With Saim Hann and the model with a Banshee Mask, you can creatively delay key units from firing as early as turn 1.

Hello, nope, the Doom FAQ was about Asuryani units, not craftworlds, or else I missed it.

They have worked pretty well but you have to use them carefully because they can disappear very quickly if your opponent decides it

Thanks for the information. I've been out of the loop a bit. The aggressive points revision for Windriders have me revisiting them. Great models and utility.

I really like your second list. Lots of solid, mid strength shooting with a good mixture of single wound and multi wound capability on several strong chassis.

Have I really been playing 40K for nearly 30 years?

The list looks pretty strong but do you not find you struggle against armour?

I guess it depends on your meta but against knights or a load of tanks the starcannons and spears may struggle.

Also, I've seen a lot of lists with avengers in serpents recently, I love my rangers personally but would be interested to hear how the avengers do for you. Is it just a case of grabbing objectives and throwing out some anti infantry shots?

Doom + 3x CHE handles armor no problem. Strong list.

Personally, I wouldn't play eldar without Jinx. Need it to handle invulns. Protect also makes the spears monsters.

Love Windriders too. Saim Hann + Scatter laser works very well and you can out-range a lot of things.

As slave.entity said, Doom + starcannons is very nice to handle Knights,etc...Worked well for me ^^

I play the Avengers for 3 reasons :
- Grab objectives mid-field,
- Throw more anti-infantry dakkas,
- I'm pretty sure the Alaitoc trait will change in the next CA in December and will be like the new Raven Guard trait, so that will make Rangers more squishy. Also, the new SM Invictor can burn them with his heavy-flamer Round 1 easily, and here in France, many SM players are going to play 3 Invictors...Sooooo

I agree, actually, I played the list with Jinx, I just forgot to mention it ^^


With the new SM codex, I think we need a lot of D2 weapons, so I want to try this slightly different version :

Guess starcannons are a lot like dissies but with less shots in favor of higher strength. I like it.

That's exactly my thoughts about dissies, and as they work very well for Dark Eldars,...

Question is, do I have enough dakkas to handle 90+ Imperial guards, 90+ plaguebearers etc,...?

That number of scatter lasers and shining spears looks like plenty for T3. I've never gone against 90 plaguebearers though.

I'm afraid you can't cast protect/conceal on War Walkers. Only infantry/bikes. But I like starcannon Walkers nevertheless.

Looks solid.

The only thing Id say if you are running saim han it seems like the autarch on bike with the Saim hand lance is a missed opportunity. He packs a punch and you can give him a cheeky fusion gun/pistol.

You can always hold him back for a turn to protect the scat bikes and give re-rolls. That way you can break them down into smaller units as you no longer need to have one big blob for guide and be susceptible to morale issues...
