I am wondering if anyone can give me an estimate on the time it takes to build a Reaver titan. Also how long to build a Warlord Titans.
I have experience with resin and Larger models.
I'm talking about removing mold lines, flashing, building and magnatizing weapons.
Do they need pinning? I know o had to pin my Hierophant and that took a while, Titans seem more sturdy.
Basically everything but painting. Just trying to get an idea of how long to expect to build this.

I can't help you, but I do have a question for you. What kind of glue do you plan on using? I imagine you will have to pin those models. They are sturdy, meaning that they are heavier and reinforcement with rods is a good idea.

Starbond Super glue is my main glue and the spray acceleratant.
2 part expoxy for the bigger parts and large magnets like at the waist.
Pinning if needed with various size brass rod and Coat Hangers.
Magnets of various sizes as need, rare earth.

So far, I've built 4 Warhounds. Not exactly the same model, but nonetheless.
Removing mold lines was a pain, I scraped them off then smoothed the surface with sandpaper. I don't have a lot of tolerance for this kind of work, it took me about 3 days each working 2 - 3 hours. I'm sure it could be done in a day.
I magnetized 2 of them. Adding the magnets was easy, picking the right ones was hard. On the first one, the magnets I used were N35 and went in the weapon and the chassis, thinking this would have a stronger bond. After about a year, the magnets fell out regularly and were replaced with N52. Never had a problem after that.
On the second one, I started with N52 and only magnetized the chassis, using thin steel sheets on the guns. This almost worked, I had problems with the arm attachments that weren't clear until I started painting. I added a second layer of steel and that seemed to fix it - it was a commission and I've never heard of any problems.
One thing to note about the magnets - don't let them get wet. The guns are relatively heavy and the paint covering the magnet scratched off mine. After a few years, some rust accumulated around the edges of the magnets which became noticeable after a while.

So if it's your first reaver, to build it, it's probably gonna take you around.....ehhhhhh 10~12 hours or build time? However this is not counting the apoxy dry time, the washing dry time, which alone can take half a day, because remember you need at least half a day for most apoxy to fully cure.
Again the speed is going to depend on how many tools you have at your disposal and how yo go about the process. Also it's going to vary based on if you want to paint the inside as well.
Ultimately I'd it's your only project you can wager it's gonna be a month or 2 project if your just working weekends. It's a hard thing to guage.
But I'll tell you this, they are so much fun to paint and build that the time does not matter. Hands down the bigger the model the more fun it is. At least for me Automatically Appended Next Post: Also I did not pin mine. My reaver it held together by magnets and gorilla glue, and it been standing fully assembled for like 2 year now with no issues.

I don't plan on painting the inside, though I may change my mind as I get going. If so i will magnatize the head so I can get inside.
I have some 5 min quick dry epoxy that I use for the high stress joints and then I use CA super glue on the smaller/rest of the kit.
I may even use screws for some of these parts, like screwing to the base, hip joints etc...

If I was you, and I don't know what experience you have with larger models or material, I would use something like gorilla glue and vice grips the parts together overnight. Titan parts are heavy sons of a gun. Super glue on smaller none load baring parts will be fine. I would advise pinning the head for sure.
Power tools help as well, again your looking at minimum a month of hobby I'd your just weekend warrioring it. Most of your time is just going to be waiting for adhesive to dry and set.

I got some 2 part 5 min quick dry epoxy and clamps and what not. But yeah they do have some weight to them.
