Is it a stand alone ? Can I read it by itself or do I need another book before ?
It is on the shelf of my flgs and I'm really interested by it !

You should really read Dante before reading Devastation of Baal. You don't absolutely have to but it adds a lot.

I read it before Dante. and it was STILL an incrediable read but yes after reading Dante it gave me a differant prespective

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

Yea you can read it alone especially if you’re up on Blood Angel lore but reading Dante first is much better.

Both are great novels but I’d give Dante the edge, Dante is the novel I recommend to people interested in Blood Angels.
