Welcome all, enjoy me on this journey as I either successfully paint a valid force of Remnant models in a week, or crash and burn as I run out of time! I have 1 week left of vacation, an airbrush, a small selection of Vallejo paints and Tamiya spray, and a strong desire to paint a 120 point game-legal Remnant force for Maelstrom's Edge.

So first things first, the force list:

Skyrunner Prime: 28 (+5) 33
Con launcher (-1 incursion rifle): +2
vent system: +3

Militus Warrior: 18 (+9) 27
Con launcher (-1 incursion rifle): +2
Field Generator +5
Vent +2

Militus Warrior: 18 (+11) 29
Arc Splitter +4
Field Generator +5
Vent +2

Militus Dominator: 18 30
Con Launcher * 2: +12

4 models - 119 points - should be doable I hope!

Here are the unit cards for those who are curious. Kudos to Insaniak for showing me up by doing this casually in the past week with 5 models

Here's the initial assembly, before basing material is added and before a little bit more cleanup was done:

Priming tomorrow!

Forgot to mention in the first post, I obviously have a conflict of interest in this thread as I am a big part of the team that brought these models into existence! Saying that, they are a complicated build due to their assembly flexibility and all of the various models were made from a single kit that can be built multiple ways.

I managed to get them primed and the first coat sprayed on and have decided to go with a cyberpunk style colour scheme. The third model is a mostly complete colour scheme test, but needs a bunch more spot colours I think. The third model has had edge highlights applied as well, whereas the others are just zenithal airbrush highlights with one colour. I was going to use a lighter grey on top but it was splattering out of the airbrush too much and I didn't want to turn them into a 90s jazz cup design!

I went with blue because I only had 4 airbrush paints and 2 of them were blue. Once the models were done, I managed to find and entire case of Vallejo Air paints nearby so could have made them any colour - Doh! Well they are blue now at least

Thoughts on spot colours and patterns would be welcome. The colour palette allows for purple, pink and neon-ish green/yellow as well as the existing blue and black.

I will probably satin varnish the completed models to take the shine off the vallejo black which has a glossy hint to it. I'm not a big fan of the paintjob on the face on the third model, and should have used something different with hindsight, but the others are looking cool so far with the colourscheme.

That's very blue!

To keep with the cyberpunk vibe, I'd go with a bright pink or neon green/yellow for the spot colour.

I actually don't hate the glossy black - it provides an interesting contrast to the flatter blue.

Some more progress at last! One completed and three with a bit more done...

Here are some shots of the completed one. Sorry about the poor lighting, still needs a matt or satin varnish to cut back the sheen. I weathered it with a slightly glossy wash to tie the textures together a bit more, and used some tamiya burnt blue powder around the weapon barrels to see what that would be like. The stripes were done with paint and masking tape. This is a straight photo from my phone due to limited resources here, but I hope to get more colour accurate photos done when the holiday is complete!

Thanks for reading thus far! The other three models have better load outs and poses so I am eager to see them completed
