The is Hubris , a world from the first Eisenhorn book. Basically has an extreme day/ night cycle cause of its rotation around its sun. Basically it goes from an earthlike position to a Farther than pluto-like position, but I think it spends the majority of its time too far away from its sun to get any sunlight. The majority of its population spends this time in vast hibernation chambers awaiting thaw.
