Hey all

About to buy myself a box set of the Van Saar Newcromunda gang models, but I don't much care for GW's current suggested colour scheme.

I much prefer the look they had back in 1st/2nd edition, like in this pic -




Anyone here happen to know which green was used as a base colour for them? I'm thinking Scorpion Green, but looking at pics of Scorpion Green (and the current equivalent, Moot Green) it looks too bright. I also thought Warpstone Glow (which was snot green back then) might be a candidate, but that looks too dark in images online.

The current GW example for Van Saar green, Kabalite Green (Jade Green back in the day) highlighted with Sybarite Green (Vile Green back in the day), I don't think would match either.

So, I'm stuck....

This is how I am going to paint my ORB Van Saar, took me so long to find the heavy plasma gun and melta leader.

Moot green with a Nuln oil wash for an all green look

OR

Black base with green pads, Ive seen black with red pads and it looks so good
