Its been a while but its time to dust of my White Scars. Trying to do a fluffy yet at least slightly competitive list. I have 16pts left to spend and really not sure where to use it.

General Idea is take control of the board space with the scouts. Librarian and Captain deploy close by so they can't be picked off. The Scouts and Captain try to assassinate some enemy character and take objectives. Librarians buff bikes as they come past to engage. Am i missing anything? do i have enough anti-tank? Haven't played in a while and trying to catch up on everything. Any advice for a veteran that hasn't played in so long I've probably fallen back to new player status! Cheers in advance.

Welcome back man, you look like you've got a list that definately has that white scars feel and has some bite to it.

You have enough anti tank for most situations, you can definitely chew through most units that don't have a lot of screen infront of them with 8 meltas and 4 lascannons. You might struggle a little when someone can screen out you bikes 12" from their tanks.

Also I think they really shine with the assault doctrine active, which you can only get into turn 3. Having all units with +1 attack damage and ap is pretty tasty for a super mobile army.

With that in mind you could focus a little on having more screen clearing abilities to get meltas in range t2 onwards and into mele with what you want to t3. So finding space for 10 intersessors with assault or rapid fire weapons might make this list work a little better. Maybe drop an assualt bike and a squad of scouts.

Also watch out for people spamming eldar flyers and knights. They're everywhere right now and absurdly tough due to -2/3 to hit modifiers (eldar) or t8 24 wounds 4++ mini titans. Best bet for knights is to move all around him and pull him in all directions, feeding him units that you can afford to lose. And eldar flyers by getting close as possible and focusing down 1 at a time.

Oh and if you go second and your opponent has long ranged guns. Always play prepared positions. It's the best universal stratergem for a lot of 3+ bodies!
