I don't know where this question should go, so I'm putting it here for now. I'm well aware that Underworlds is not 40K. Anyway, I'm torn between either getting the Underworlds boxset and putting my money and effort there or getting the Necromunda rulebook next instead. I'm somewhat leaning towards Necromunda, but there's a guy in my local GW who's been teaching me Underworlds (though it's been months since I've been able to play due to some medical issues), and the game is pretty popular in the store overall. I love the look and feel of Necromunda, and want to play as a Chaos cult, but are the rules for Chaos in the main rulebook? I am not going to be rooting around for some out-of-print White Dwarf issue unless I can find a very inexpensive copy of the pertinent issue online. Ultimately, I want to play both games, but money issues are currently limiting me to starting with only one right now. Based on your experiences of playing the games, rules, price values, and any other factors, which one do you think I should go with next?

Oh, and just to be clear, I already have a KT put together and the rulebook, so that's not an issue for me.

Both can be pretty pricey in terms of fleshing things out. The main difference is that with Necromunda you might be buying more models to get a more varied Gang as well as upgrade packs of FW.

Whilst with Underworlds you can buy only one block of models and then gather up some of the additional cards (ebay or card packs) for deck building.

This means underworld can be complex, but at the same time its only a handful of models to get ready to play with so the entry point is faster and varying what those models can do is more about changing the cards than the models. So you can diversify quicker. Of course different bands operate differently so for big differences in play style you need another band of warriors.

Necromunda is more involved and you might find you need FW parts and more ganger sets and mercenaries. However that means way more models on the table; more variation with those models and also a lot of chance to be very individual with how your models look and are armed so you can be really personal with them.
